We recommend charging the for at least 16 hours before first use, and when the Parent Unit indicates the battery is low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Connect the small plug of the power adapter to the parent unit and the other end to the electrical outlet. Only use the enclosed adapter (DC5V\/1000mA).<br>\u2022 Press and hold the Power button to turn the Parent unit on, the Parent unit and Baby unit are automatically linked and ready to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">REMARQUE:<br>When the Baby and Parent Units are both turned on and within range, the Parent Unit should show a color image from the Baby Unit camera, but if the room is dark, the image will be in black and white, with a crescent moon icon showing, due to the infra-red illumination by the Baby Unit.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"lightweight-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"lightweight-accordion-title\"><span><strong>Which cameras are compatible with this monitor?<\/strong><\/span><\/summary><div class=\"lightweight-accordion-body\">\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Nursery View Deluxe BU accessory camera<\/li><li>Nursery View Select BU accessory camera<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">D\u00e9pannage<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"lightweight-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"lightweight-accordion-title\"><span><strong>How to prevent interference between the camera and monitor?<\/strong><\/span><\/summary><div class=\"lightweight-accordion-body\">\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Any large metal object, like a refrigerator, a mirror, a filing cabinet, metallic or metal clad doors, or reinforced concrete, aluminum siding (if being used outdoors) between the baby and parent unit may block the signal.<\/li><li>The signal strength may also be reduced by other solid structures, like walls, plumbing, heating and air conditioning ducts, electrical wires, or by radio or electrical equipment, such as TVs, computers, cordless or mobile phones, fluorescent lights or dimmer switches. In multi-story homes, homes with a basement, and multi- unit homes such as apartments plumbing, heating and air conditioning ducts, and electrical wires between floors will also reduce signal strength.<\/li><li>Use of other 2.4GHz products, such as wireless networks (Wi-Fi routers), Bluetooth\u00ae systems, or microwave ovens, may cause interference with this product, so keep the baby monitor away at least 5ft (1.5m) from these types of products, or turn them off if they appear be causing interference. The same goes for fans or white-noise machines.<\/li><li>If the signal is weak, try moving the parent and\/or the baby unit to different positions in the rooms. Close the door to the room, plug the camera in and turn the lights off.<\/li><li>Shine the flashlight directly into the camera lens for 30 to 45 seconds. After this time has passed, remove the light from the eye of the camera. Allow the camera a few seconds to readjust and then check the video on the monitor.
