How we use Cookies

Your privacy is important to us. We are striving to give you full and honest information about the cookies that we use on our site and give you the tools and knowledge to manage them. By continuing to browse our site, you consent to our placing cookies on your computer (unless you have chosen to disable them via your browser (see below)). However, if you do not allow cookies on your computer you may not have the best user experience possible. We are working on making further improvements to the ways we use cookies and we will keep this page updated with the progress we make. Please also refer to our Privacy Policy.

What are Cookies?

Technologies on the Internet help us to deliver customised visitor experiences, such as cookies, which may be used by us to provide you with, for example, customised information from our website. A cookie is an element of data that a website can send to your browser, which may then store it on your system. Cookies allow us to understand who has seen which pages and advertisements, to determine how frequently particular pages are visited and to determine the most popular areas of our website. Depending on the type of cookie we use, cookies also allow us to make our website more user-friendly, for example, permanent cookies allow us to save your password so that you do not have to re-enter it every time you visit our website.

HCHK may also use cookies to measure traffic patterns and which areas of the Hubbleconnected.support you have visited and your visiting patterns. This information is sometimes called a ‘clickstream’. HCHK may use this information to understand how our users navigate our site and to determine common traffic patterns, including what site the user came from.

If you wish, you can usually adjust your browser so that your computer does not accept cookies. If you do this, you will still be able to browse around the site but the functions that allow you set up a new account, access an existing account or add items to your basket will not be available. Alternatively, you can adjust your browser to tell you when a website tries to put a cookie on your computer. How you adjust your browser to stop it accepting cookies or to notify you of them, will depend on the type of internet browser program your computer uses (see our section below entitled “How to check cookies are enabled for PCs”).

We are giving you this information as part of our initiative to comply with relevant legislation, and to make sure we are honest and clear about your privacy when using our website. We know you would expect nothing less from us, and please be assured that we are working on a number of other privacy and cookie-related improvements to the website.

Our Cookies Policy

To make full use of the personalised features on Hubbleconnected.support and provide you with certain personalised features of this website by using them.

Our cookies do not store sensitive information such as your name, address, telephone number or payment details: they simply hold the ‘key’ that, once you are signed in, is associated with this information. However, if you would prefer to restrict, block or delete cookies from Hubbleconnected.support, or any other website, you can use your browser to do this.

Classification of Cookies

The cookies used in the Service have been categorised based on the categories found in the ICC Cookie guide. They are as follows:

Category 1: Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential in order to enable you to move around the Website and use its features, such as accessing secure areas of the Website. Without these cookies, services you have asked for, like shopping baskets or e-billing, cannot be provided.

Category 2: Performance Cookies

These cookies do not collect information that identifies a visitor. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. It is only used to improve how a Website works.

Category 3: Functionality Cookies

These cookies allow the Website to remember choices you make (such as your user name, language or the region you are in) and provide enhanced and more personal features. For instance, a Website may be able to provide you with local weather reports or traffic news by storing in a cookie for the region in which you are currently located. These cookies can also be used to remember changes you have made to text size, fonts and other parts of web pages that you can customise. They may also be used to provide services you have asked for such as a live chat session. The information these cookies collect may be anonymised and they cannot track your browsing activity on other Websites.
